Admission Criteria and Procedures

Concordia International School encourages applications from students of all racial groups and language levels for our grades 7 to 12. To facilitate and motivate all students to apply, Concordia has no admission charges. If you are interested in Concordia, please feel free to complete the application form included with our promotional material. It is important that as much information be included so that informed and sensitive decisions can be made in a minimum of time.

Application Procedure

Applications will only be considered when all of the information listed below has been gathered by the school.

  • A completed application form.

  • 4 recent passport-size photos.

  • A copy of the Hong Kong ID card or copy of Passport.

  • Transcripts (records) of past academic performance. Photocopies are acceptable although originals must be sighted during an interview to be arranged with the principal. Transcripts should include a fax number and contact person for the institution attended. Concordia reserves the right to contact any schools listed to verify the information presented.

  • A personal interview with the parent and child. This can be done at the same time as submitting information or after the previously listed information has been sent by mail to the school. Parents wishing to make an appointment for the interview should contact the Principal's assistant on 2789 9890.

  • The school reserves the right to administer an English language assessment test to determine the proper English program for the student. If administered this test will take about one hour and can be conducted when the student and parent visit the school for the interview.

Given the above information, a letter of acceptance or rejection will be sent to the parent. If given a letter of acceptance there may be specific conditions set as part of the acceptance but these will always be stated clearly in writing. To hold a reserved place in the school, parents should reply to this letter within one week and will need to submit a deposit of HK$10,000. The school regrets that because of its limited number of places, reservations will not be given unless a deposit is received.

Payment and Refund Policy

· Because of Concordia’s small size and the fact that it is a non-profit making institution, we operate on a very fixed budget. This means that once fees have been paid, Concordia will not refund deposits and/or installments. Parents should think carefully before making any payment.

· Students pay fees twice a year at the beginning of each term. Those with difficulty paying may consult the Principal for an alternative arrangement.

· To reserve a place in the school a HK$10,000 deposit is required. This should be paid within one week of being accepted to the school for new students. The deposit is strictly nonrefundable after the last day of the period of offer.

·  Students can be admitted after the term has begun and fees will be calculated on a case by case basis, quarterly or monthly.

Late Payment of Fees Policy

Late fees (0.5% of fees owed) will be incurred within one week after the payment due date.  Parents/Guardians should inform the school of any payment concerns that may arise.
